During Fashion Week 2009 we carried out a guerrilla marketing campaign for our client MADE-BY, in order to give Berlin’s citizen an understanding of the benefits of fair textile production.
MADE-BY is a non-profit organisation. It is an initiative of Solidaridad, the pioneer of Fair Trade, and was founded in Netherlands in 2004.
Since 2008, MADE-BY supports German fashion brands in improving the social and ecologic aspects of their production chain. The idea is to make the supply and production chain transparent for consumers. With the MADE-BY code in the garment, one can use the online "Track&Trace" system, find out where the garment was made and by whom and that way ensure the sustainable production of it.
MADE-BY clients are for example the labels Kuyichi, Edun, Imps + Elfs and many more. During fashion week and around the Bebelplatz and other interesting locations, the mobile button-team gave away little MADE-BY sewing sets with the blue button. In the future, the blue button shall be the distinct sign for social and environmentally friendly clothing.

In the course of the strategic shift of our client Dr.Hauschka into the fashion world, we were responsible for the organisation and public relations of the trade fair appearances at the Bread&Butter in Berlin and Barcelona as well as the Premium in Berlin in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
The first appearance of the cosmetic brand Dr.Hauschka at a fashion trade fair was from
14th – 16th July 2006 at the Bread&Butter in Berlin.
Professional Dr.Hauschka beauticians presented and explained the product range to visitors – stressed fairgoers could get refreshed with Dr.Hauschka products. One year later at the Bread&Butter in Barcelona, we exclusively invited a selected group of journalists and celebrities to a special Dr.Hauschka treatment and created an oasis in the middle of the trade fair turmoil.
At the Premium 2008, Dr.Hauschka proved its competence in fashion once again. Together with the young eco-fashion label slowmo we have developed a designershirt made of organic cotton and kapok for the stand personnel. The shirt, that is not available in shops, fascinated visitors and journalists likewise.

On June 13th 2009 the exhibition 'Frauengesichter' opened at Cosma Shiva Hagen's “sichtbar im ELBRAUSCH”.
Until September 4th 2009 the exhibition shows expressive portraits by Jim Rakete, Eva-Maria Hagen and Ekaterina Moré. The exhibition opening was accompanied by a fashion show of Gisela G.
Gisela G. is a designer and already an insider tip amongst VIPs like Kate Moss and Jade Jagger. The atmosphere continually grew and visitors were dancing until late at night. Cocktails and nibbles were served for free. The artists were present and available for questions. The concept of 'sichtbar' combines coffee, art and music. Its location directly at the harbour offers a real 'Hamburg atmosphere'.

From 1st to 4th July 2009, the first "GREENshowroom" occurred at the Adlon hotel in Berlin. Can you combine sustainability, tradition and awareness with design, zeitgeist and luxury? GREENshowroom is the first showroom offering a symbiosis of these features– a platform for sustainable innovative design in the upper middle to upper class section. Women’s wear, accessories, beauty products - the platform surprises its visitors with international designers, all living one vision - GREEN is the only way, with a blush of luxury.
Several deluxe-rooms of the Adlon hotel offer an exclusive choice of high-end eco- fashion labels. Instead of huge presentations in trade fair halls, the founders Magdalena Schaffrin and Jana Keller chose the five-star Hotel Adlon in Berlin, in order to give the event a familiar and exclusive frame.
“The event will be attractive and relaxing at the same time. Our aim is to create a comfortable ambience for buyers and press.“, says initiators and designer Jana Keller (Royal Blush).

During Fashion Week in January 2009, the design network “The Offer” presented itself for the first time. We took care of the communications.
“The Offer” is a new platform for young designers who have the same goal. During the Berlin Fashion Week, “The Offer” offered a showroom for pre-order collections for an international audience, in order to enable a more relaxed insight on the sophisticated collections of six young designers away from the showroom-marathon. One of the designers is Magdalena Schaffrin. She designs clothes for men and women made from the finest fabrics that meet the strict criteria of ecological certificates. She processes only natural fibres and obtains all fabrics from Europe. Hence, fair working conditions are ensured and the transport routes remain short. Schaffrins collections are characterised mainly by the special handling of surfaces and details - they are classic, timeless and modestly extravagant.

In spring/summer 2007, we conceptualised, planned and implemented an extraordinary guerrilla marketing and PR campaign for our client Natural American Spirit. Natural American Spirit manufactures tobacco with no artificial additives as well as organic tobacco. The aim was to strengthen the image and create an authentic identification for the target audience.
From May 1st 2007, we have provided bicycles to the people of Berlin and Hamburg - free of charge and without any obligations. They could be found at the hot spots of the cities - bars, restaurants and public places. The motto was: ride, park, and make it available to others. All bicycles had an American Spirit logo, a distinctive name and a brief project statement on them. The “Spring Rider” could publish their tours and experiences on a specifically designed blog, which we editorially managed. Anna Zoe Schmidt was the official “Spring Ride” reporter and documented and updated daily the happenings. In the PR, the campaign has achieved full coverage in city magazines; the results in the national daily papers were also very good. A market research study after the campaign eventually proved a huge success, scoring very highly.

For the sixth time we are implementing the music contest “Beck’s on stage experience” for our client Beck’s, the traditional brewery from Bremen. In 2009, the almost legendary competition for young musicians will yet again call for participation.
For many years, Beck’s has been an inherent part as reliable partner and sponsor at major festivals and selected concerts. Through ideas like “Music Competition”, where a reinterpretation of the Sail-Away-Song was shown, the “Band Battles”, where in addition to musical talent marketing skills were demanded and the ensuing “Battle to Festival”- band competitions, we were able to successfully establish Beck’s as a sustainable promoter of musical talent.
With the “Beck’ On Stage Festival Challenge 2008” Beck’s went one step further, by shifting the competition into the Internet and giving all fans a chance to have their say in determining the winning band. We are already working on a sequel to the successful concept. Again in 2009, young bands get the chance to battle for the big show at one of the most important German music festivals.

In September 2008 we took over the classic public relations for the real-fur label Friendly Fur. The aim is to increase the degree of familiarity and continuous image building.
Since summer 2008, the label Friendly Fur offers ecologically and ethically correct fur accessories made of fur from native red foxes.
Other than the first collection that was very much influenced by fashion, the new designs are more object-like. Mobile phone pockets, shoe tongues and eyewear gauntlets!
Each item is limited to an exclusive number of 100 pieces and is environmentally friendly manufactured in a regional factory. No fox dies for Friendly Fur – the designer Nikolas Gleber only uses fur from controlled forest management (controlled hunts caused by overpopulation) that would otherwise land in the waste disposal.
A collaboration with animal breeding farms and any mistreatment of animals are strictly rejected. Instead, a sensible debate with the so far tabooed subject ‘real fur’ shall be revived and plead for an appropriate, responsible use of natural materials.

For this project-based client we carried out the public relations for the ‘Green energy now!’ campaign in 2008. Utopia.de is a platform for strategic consumption and sustainable lifestyle.
The web portal Utopia.de started on November 8th 2007. Its aim is to give consumers an orientation in purchasing sustainable products and to activate impulse to the trade and industry. In such short time, Utopia.de has become the leading web 2.0 platform for strategic consumption and counts about 20,000 registered members.
From April 9th to the end of May 2008, the online community utopia.de was informed about the advantages and (alleged) disadvantages of green energy. Celebrities like Sandra Maischberger and Daniel Brühl, as well as (an animated) Wolfgang Clement supported the campaign.
Aim: 100.000 people shall switch to one of the four “real” green energy suppliers during the time of the campaign. We supported the campaign with public relations and achieved very good onlinecoverage.

Are you a Picknicker?, was the question that we asked a selected number of people in Berlin and Hamburg in summer 2007. Altogether we arranged four picnics for 200 people each with solely organic food, cold drinks, nice people - just everything you could wish for on a summer day. In close consultation with the client, we decided to reduce the brand presence remarkably. The action was announced only through personal invitation and through targeted messages on hotspots of the Berlin and Hamburg scene. The cross-marketing approach was interesting for this project: the picnic hampers were partly stocked with products sponsored by organic food suppliers. Although there was no public relations planned for the project many in the media have picked up on the idea and reported it - a success that speaks for the good idea.
